Product Update – A 360° Customer View is Coming! Are You Prepared?

One of our biggest releases to date is quickly approaching. We’ll soon be introducing a customer relationship management (CRM) feature to the Yieldr Demand Intelligence software!

Gain a 360° Customer View

This means you can package together the already available behavioral data with direct customer data such as: frequent flyer programs, emails and flight passenger name records (PNR) and all of a traveler’s previously booked flights in order to give a full customer overview.

With our current tag, you can already perform attribute-level customization, where you can group customers into known segments by location, device usage, booking habits, etc.

i.e., if you know business passengers flying from Amsterdam to London are more likely, on average, to purchase seat upgrades, you can offer them a lower base ticket price and capitalize on upselling opportunities.

With our new CRM feature, more of the single customer view will be in focus, giving you the opportunity to undertake traveler-level customization.

i.e., by linking a passenger’s information to all purchases made before, during, and after the flight, you can calculate exact profitability and the likelihood that the passenger will purchase ancillary products. This insight may then be used to offer personalized discounts on base fares.

With this upcoming product update, we’re laying the foundation to give even more customized flight and ancillary recommendations, while providing more accurate flight-level forecasts.

Be Prepared by Updating Your Tag

We want to make sure you are prepared for these awesome new opportunities so you can benefit right away. Therefore, using your own macros, you’ll need to install our latest tag update to your website or forward this mail to your technical person for assistance. We have added the following parameters to our tag that should be added to the funnel stage tags in your tag manager:

"userfirstname": {First Name}, // i.e. Jane "userlastname": {Last Name}, // i.e. Doe "userbirthdate": {Date of Birth}, // i.e. 2000-01-01 "userpostalcode": {Postal Code}, // i.e. 1000 AJ "useraddress": {Address}, // i.e. Stadhouderskade 85 "usercity": {User City}, // i.e. Amsterdam "usercountry": {User Country}, i.e. the Netherlands "usergender": {Gender}, // i.e. Female "useremail": {E-Mail Address}, // i.e. jane.doe@yieldr.com "userphonenumber": {Phone Number}, // i.e. +31612345678 "userloyaltyprogram": {Loyalty Program}, // i.e. Flying Yieldr Green

Next to this, we have two new parameters that should be added to funnel stage 5:

"flightpaymentmethod": {Payment Method}, // i.e. Cash or Paypal "flightpnr": {PNR}, // i.e. Y1E7DR

An example of a funnel stage 5 tag with all parameters filled in could have the following macros inside the Javascript.

<script type="text/javascript"> yldr.track("pageview", { "flightcarrier": {Flight Carrier}, // i.e. YY "flightorigin": {Origin IATA Code}, //i.e. AMS "flightdestination": {Destination IATA Code},//i.e. BCN "flightdeparturedate": {Departure Date}, //2017-12-31T11:30:00+00:00 "flightreturndate": {Return Date}, // 2018-01-01T09:20:00+00:00 "flightnumber": {Flight Number}, // e.g. YY1234 "flighttype": {Flight Type}, // business or leisure "flightclass": {Flight Class}, // First, Business or Economy "flightclasscode": {Flight Fare Basis Code}, // F, J, Y or W "flightadults": {PAX Adults}, // e.g. 2 "flightchildren": {PAX Children}, // e.g. 1 "flightinfants": {PAX Infants}, // e.g. 1 "flightvalue": {Flight Value}, // i.e. 1234.67 "flightcurrency": {Currency}, // i.e. EUR or USD "flightpaymentmethod": {Payment Method}, // i.e. Cash or Paypal "flightpnr": {PNR}, // i.e. Y1E7DR "flightancillaryvalue": {Ancillaries}, // i.e. 165.33 "taxvalue": {Taxes}, // i.e. 200.00 "totalvalue": {Total Value}, // i.e. 1600.00 "userfirstname": {First Name}, // i.e. Jane "userlastname": {Last Name}, // i.e. Doe "userbirthdate": {Date of Birth}, // i.e. 2000-01-01 "userpostalcode": {Postal Code}, // i.e. 1000 AJ "useraddress": {Address}, // i.e. Stadhouderskade 85 "usercity": {User City}, // i.e. Amsterdam "usercountry": {User Country}, i.e. the Netherlands "usergender": {Gender}, // i.e. Female "useremail": {Email Address}, // i.e. jane.doe@yieldr.com "userphonenumber": {Phone Number}, // i.e. +31612345678 "userloyaltyprogram": {Loyalty Program}, // i.e. Flying Yieldr Green "funnelstage": "5" }); </script>

You’ll also need to update the base tag. As an example, it’ll look a little something like this:

<script type="text/javascript"> !function(y,i,e,l,d,r){if(y.YieldrAsyncQueue=l,y[l]=y[l]||[],!y[l].loaded){y[l].loaded=!0,d=["init","track","sync"],r=function(n){return function(){var t=Array.prototype.slice.call(arguments);t.unshift(n),y[l].push(t)};for(var n=0;n<d.length;n++)y[l][d[n]]=r(d[n]);var t=i.createElement("script");t.async=!0,t.src="//cdn.yldr.io/yldr.v0.min.js",i.getElementsByTagName("body")[0].appendChild(t),y[l].version="0.4.1"}(window,document,0,"yldr"); yldr.init("INSERTYOURAPIKEY"); </script>

If you’re experiencing any trouble or have yet to install the Yieldr tag properly, you can review our installation guide on our help page. And of course, we’re always standing by ready to help you directly.

We are very much looking forward to releasing our CRM feature and can’t wait to get your feedback.
