We’ve made several upgrades to Yieldr Air, spanning abandoned cart campaigns, booking curves, events and metrics.
Recommended Flights in Abandoned Cart Emails
As you know, our abandoned cart email service is one of our newest features. While there are several services available, we’re proud to offer a unique feature – recommended flights!
Based on a deep understanding of past traveler behavior from actual bookings and booking patterns, our machine learning algorithm can detect how likely a user is to purchase a similar flight.
Using these insights, abandoned cart emails are sent that don’t just offer the flight the user had in their basket. They also recommend other flights that have a high likelihood of interest from that user.
You might be wondering, “Why would I offer the user a different flight?” Well, by offering flight recommendations, you can increase your conversion rate by up to 50% compared to standard abandoned cart emails.
If you’d like to learn more about airline abandoned cart campaigns, check out the series on our content hub.
If you’re interested in starting your own abandoned cart campaign, we have a special introductory offer of 5000 euros total for 3 months of service. If you’re interested, sign up here.
Historical Booking Trends
In our last product update, we announced booking curves. We’re happy to share that this feature now includes historical projections. This is the first step towards our ambition to include forecasting features.
Our historical booking trends are calculated by determining the mean load factor of similar flights with the same origin and destination, carrier code, weekday, flight number and a departure date before the chosen flight.
This allows you to visualize performance by comparing the historical booking curve with current performance. These forecasts give you a better grasp of how flights will end up. You can, for example, push media spending towards a distressed flight in danger of missing its load factor target.
New Events Feature
In addition to working with historical data, it’s also important to understand how current events affect flight performance. That’s why we’ve added Events as an additional column on the Flights page.
Simply hold your mouse over the pink and orange icon to see which current events are taking place in the destination city from 7 days ahead of the date of arrival. This gives you additional insights into what is affecting demand.
Using data aggregated by PredictHQ, we combine real-world events to your flight destinations.
Look to Book
Last but not least, we’ve added a metric very familiar with airlines. Look to Book is now available to gauge untapped demand.
In our platform, this is not a general metric, but one specific to each flight. It can be utilized to compare and contrast the performance of different flights.
